Justine Murray
President
Iām Justine Murray, the founder & president of the Ethan Murray Fund. I have one daughter, Cora, who is 28 years old and is also on the board. I enjoy all the things our beautiful mountain town has to offer - - hiking, camping & lake time. I own a boutique in downtown Sandpoint called La Chic Boutique, opened in 2013.
Our non-profit, the EMF, was established after my son, Ethan, was shot & killed by a police officer during a mental health crisis. My vision is to bring greater awareness around mental health & raise money for desperately needed services in my community for those that struggle. I believe if there would have been better services that my son would be alive today.
One of my proudest moments for the EMF was being able to hike the Idaho Centennial Trail with my partner Matt Connery (board member) & raise $70k for our fund. Throughout our three-month journey through some of the rugged parts of Idaho, we were able to raise a lot of awareness by sharing our story. Our community supported us in so many ways on this trip - - we are forever grateful.
